New this summer is a planned activity for the first informal workshop of each month. This activity will be from 9:30 to 11 AM. May 14-"Grand Finale" DVD with Ricky Tims. June 11- "Pajama Quilter" DVD with Dam Ramirex on machine quilting
July 9- Workshop on quilt binding techniques. Learn how to improve your binding so that your corners are all 90 degrees and your sides don't wobble!. August13- We will view a VHS tape by Roxanne thimbles on fabric, thread, and need differences. Thanks , Mary Anne Rhodes for loaning us your tape. September 10- We will view a DVD by McTavish on Machine Quilting. Susan Fender, Chairperson of Education Committee Venice Public Library *** 1 to 3 PM Bring your blocks. Bring your laptop with EQ 5 or 6 installed. We will share laptops if necessary. Bring your manuals, paper, pen/pencils. and extension cords. Do NOT bring a wireless mouse for your laptop. Practice drawing blocks! Coordinator: Barbara Shapiro Head Start Summer Quilt Workshop ---June 25th The head start ladies, Betty Klotz and Doris Grimm, will have kits and fabrics for making these quilts or bring your own supplies. Books will be displayed at the meetings and may be signed out for one month.
